Mumbai : The Governor of Maharashtra and Chancellor of Universities in the State CH Vidyasagar Rao has constituted a Search Committee to select a new Vice Chancellor for the Yashwantrao Chavan Maharashtra Open University (YCMOU).
Justice Mohit Shah, retired Chief Justice of the Bombay High Court will be the Chairman of the committee.
Prof Ajay Kumar Sharma, Director, National Institute of Technology, Delhi and Sitaram Kunte, Principal Secretary, Higher and Technical Education, Government of Maharashtra will be the other members of the Committee.
The post of the Vice Chancellor of YCMOU has been vacant since August 19, 2016 following the resignation of the Vice Chancellor Prof M M Salunkhe.
