Mumbai : An innovative concept ‘AfsarBitiya’ a satellite-based distance education, was launched on Saturday by a company to provide online education for competitive exams to girl students who cannot travel to city, at a minimal cost of Rs 5 per day in their native villages.
Gujarat minister for transport, water supply, labour and employment Vijay Rupani launched the education scheme in Maharashtra on Saturday. The satellite-based distance education scheme is aimed at training girl students in countryside area of the state, who cannot physically reach coaching classes.
While addressing the audience, Rupani said, “The aim of this programme is to give facility and platform to every last girl in remotest part of the state, to be an officer. If a girl cannot reach the coaching class then in that case, the class should reach the girl.”
Smart Business & Investment Consultancy introduced the concept planned to target 100 schools in the state to ensure that a large number of girls receive education at a very affordable cost.
Rajesh Gandhi, Director of ‘AfsarBitiya’ said, “This scheme is already launched in Gujarat and receiving excellent response. About 400 schools have already confirmed their participation in this programme.”
He added, “We are offering online courses to prepare for UPSC, MPSC, CA, CS, IIT JEE, Bank PO and MBA entrance tests.”
Another education project ‘Virtual Campus’ for the city youths was also launched, wherein students and colleges will get free of cost coaching by prominent educational content providers for courses that are in great demand. Corporate sponsors are bearing the entire cost of the project as an opportunity to communicate directly with the youth of the state.
