Mumbai : Three people fired two rounds of bullets at a 23-year-old man, Mujahid Khan, in Saki Naka’s Bengali Chawl on Wednesday night, before fleeing from the spot. The accused have been identified as Majnu, Satish Devekar and Shahid.
According to the police, the incident took place around 10.30 pm when the accused came across Khan and took out a gun to shoot him. Luckily, Khan ducked in time and ran into a nearby house.
According to Khan, his friend, Aurangzeb Siddiqui, is a prime witness in a case. He said that the accused wanted him to warn his friend to pull out his name from the witness list of a case in which they have been named. The victim was first threatened by the accused, before being shot at.
“A case has been registered under Section 326 and 34 of Indian Penal Code. A search is on for the accused and we are investigating the case,” said an officer attached to Saki Naka police station.
