Ujjain: Ujjain Municipal Corporation gets strict over cleanliness

Ujjain: Ujjain Municipal Corporation (UMC) officials are taking strict action against litterbugs to maintain cleanliness in the city to upgrade the city’s ranking in cleanliness survey. Municipal commissioner Pratibha Pal deployed officials concerned to curb incident of open defecation if any, in the city. Violators will be penalised the UMC official says.Rs 9L property
tax recovered UMC officials have recovered over Rs 9 lakh of long pending property tax from defaulters. Defaulter Deepchand resident of Bhairavgarh paid his property tax of Rs 218000, Hotel Hari Palace And Hotel Kalpa cleared their property tax for Rs 91844 while over Rs 6 lakh were recovered from tax payers of zone 4.
