Ujjain: Municipal commissioner Pratibha Pal addressing the meeting of health and sanitation officials insisted on home composting of garbage. She told that officials should monitor the employees and inspire them to give their 100 per cent to maintain cleanliness in the city. She told home composting must be inspired and officials should take action against hotels and other business establishments that did not have compos unit.
She instructed to place mobile toilets at weekly market places on the day of the market with a tanker of drinking water. The commissioner deployed officials at the point of segregation of wet and dry garbage. Meanwhile, commissioner Pal appealed to the denizens to pay their property tax and avail 6 per cent rebate in penalties by April 30. The told that tax collection offices of the civic body shall remain open even on Sundays in April.
