Ujjain: Divisional commissioner takes RDC official to task

Ujjain: Divisional commissioner Ajeet Kumar took a review meeting on Tuesday of heads of various department heads and pointed out their lacunas. Lashing out at road development corporation official he asked him about the measures being taken after horrific accident on Nagda Unhel road in which 12 persons were killed in January.

He asked him what actions will be taken if the contractor does not complete allotted construction work properly. He told the officer, if you did not pay attention contractor’s negligence then you should also be treated as an accused in case any accident happens. He instructed him to place indicators at all the accident prone zones in the division to ward off such accidents; otherwise he may face strict legal action. He instructed the officer to mark blind spots on the roads across the division.
