Ujjain: Divisional commissioner Ajit Kumar reviewed the works of water resources department during inter-departmental co-ordination meeting convened on Tuesday. He reviewed the current status and progress of on-going small, medium and large water projects in Ujjain division. He was told that current irrigation capacity is 82,828 hectares and after completion of Indokh medium irrigation project addtional 6100 hectare land will get benefit of irrigation.
Various pipeline irrigation projects, underway in Mandsaur, Neemach and Ratlam, were reviewed and prospects of speedy completion were discussed with authorities concerned. Narmada-Gambhir link project, Narmada-Kshipra link projects were discussed at length besides challenges and remedies. Kumar asked the officers to list out the pending cases and petitions in the courts and their current status.
