Ujjain: Former Zila Panchayat (ZP) vice-president Bharat Porwal has been reinstated by divisional commissioner Ajeet Kumar following the High Court verdict. The election of Porwal as vice-president was declared null and void earlier by the then additional commissioner. Porwal approached the High Court and it quashed the order of additional commissioner paving way for his reinstatement to the post.
On Wednesday Porwal with his supporters reached at Zila Panchayat and assumed office. On this occasion Congress party observer Dheerubhai Patel, Manohar Bairagi, Anantnarayan Meena, Hemantsingh Chouhan, Vijaysingh Goutam, Ravi Bhadoriya, Sheru Patel, Manohar Kushwah and other party leaders were present. Rajesh Sarda informed that Porwal expressed gratitude to the party leaders and well-wishers.
