Ujjain: Two miscreants who were named in Rs 20 lakh loot case have been arrested. They had looted the accountant of grain merchant Piyush Agrawal on May 18 when he was returning to the firm after withdrawing the amount from the bank. Central Kotwali police registered an FIR under Section 394 on the basis of the statement of victim accountant Sunil Jain. Jain told police that he was looted at Narwar road by two bike born boys who threw chili powder in his eyes and snatched away the bag containing Rs 20 lakh in cash.
Acting on a tip-off, the police under suspicion arrested a miscreant Azam resident of Lohe-ka-pul area, from village Govinda under Mohan-Barodiya police station. The accused was staying in house of his maternal uncle Ayyub Lala. During interrogation the accused revealed about his aides Kapil Soni resident of Susner and Rukman Lala resident of village Nipaniya- Baijnath. Rukman has been arrested and motorcycle used during the crime and cash Rs1,90,000, mobile phone have been seized. While Rs 2,49,000 from Kapil and Rs 13,64,500 from main accused Azam Khan have also been recovered. The accused were produced in the court.
