Lok Sabha elections 2019: (Munna)Bhai Sanjay Dutt to campaign for sister Priya Dutt from April 20

Most of the political parties are roping in big names to campaign for them in order to woo voters. In Mumbai North Central constituency, Sanjay Dutt will be campaigning for his sister Priya Dutt. Sanjay Dutt will talk to voters in a week-long campaign.

According to Maharashtra Times, Sanjay Dutt will begin campaigning from April 20 till the last date of campaigning. He will campaign in the entire Mumbai North Central constituency. Till now, no big leader has campaigned for Priya Dutt. The Mumbai North Central constituency was once dominated by the Congress, but now 3 MLAs are from Shiv Sena and 2 from BJP. It’s not all. Shiv Sena-BJP has 25 corporators from the Mumbai North Central constituency.

Priya Dutt is fighting the polls as Congress candidate from Mumbai North Central constituency. Sanjay Dutt was present when Priya filed her nomination papers. Speaking to reporters, Sanjay said that he will surely campaign for his sister. Priya Dutt is pitted against BJP leader Poonam Mahajan, to whom she lost the polls in 2014.

Sanjay Dutt recently took to Twitter to clarify about him contesting the 2019 elections. He said, “The rumor about me contesting for the Lok Sabha elections is not true. I stand with my country and in full support for my sister @PriyaDutt_INC. I urge everyone to come out in maximum numbers and cast their vote for our nation!’’
