The poll campaigning in Mumbai has reached its last and the political parties have intensified their campaigns. To woo voters from all castes the Congress has roped in Shabana Azmi and Shatrughan Sinha for poll campaigning.
According to Maharashtra Times, Shatrughan Sinha will be campaigning for Congress’s candidate from Mumbai North-west Sanjay Nirupam. Dissident BJP MP Shatrughan Sinha recently joined the Congress. In the meanwhile, actress Shabana Azmi in a recent poll rally of Urmila Matondkar said to vote to for her (Urmila Matondkar) in order to save the constitution.
Congress fielded the actor-turned-politician as its Lok Sabha poll candidate from Bihar’s Patna Sahib Lok Sabha constituency against Union Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad. Lok Sabha elections to 48 seats in the state are being held in four phases. Polling for the first two phases was held on April 11 and 18 in seven and 10 seats, respectively. Voting for the fourth phase in 17 constituencies will be held on April 29 and the vote count will be held on May 23.
