Aeschylus, a contemporary of Socrates, Lao-tsu, Zoroaster, Buddha and Confucius, who lived during the 5th century B.C. wrote: “Neither does any one, however many wounds he may have received, die unless he has run his allotted term of life; nor does any man, though he sits quietly by the fireside under his own roof, escape his fated doom.” In other words, birth or death is not in our hands. There is a time and place, when it should happen and that is controlled by a Super Power.

We must have faith in a universe that is created and guided by a power superior to us; one where there can be no accidents. There are various situations created in our lives, which could not be scientifically explained or spiritually believed. Remember that there is a difference between oneness and sameness.

We are all one but we are not same. For e.g. there is only one fire but it manifests in various forms. There is only one water, yet there are lakes, rivers and oceans. There is only one man or woman who looks different in every aspect in the different countries of the universe.

Leo Buscaglia, the popular author, narrates the story of a an animal school. The animals consisted of rabbits, birds, squirrels, fishes, cats and so on. These animals were good in some spheres and bad in the others. For example, the birds could fly, the fish could swim, the cats could run and the rabbits could burrow. They could not do the other chores which were not familiar to them. So they got an ‘A’ in their sphere of expertise but a ‘C’ in other areas of skills. The school could not mould the students in all the spheres and make them experts.

Man too can excel in some and fail in the others. Secondly, whatever shows up in our lives are consequent of our thoughts. For e.g. if it is an accident or a headache, it is the result of some thinking at that moment, which shows up physically to teach us something.

The saying is: “You get what you think about, whether you want it or not. So be careful about what you think.” For e.g. if you are driving a car and the car in front is slow and you can’t overtake that car, may be, that you are avoiding an accident and it is god’s wish to save you. It is our business to manage carefully whatever happens and that is a powerful idea whose time has come.
