With the Lok Sabha Election Results 2019, the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) has whitewashed Congress in Mumbai by bagging victory in all the constituencies of the financial capital. Not only BJP won all the six seats in Mumbai, the data by Election Commission reveals that every six out of ten votes went towards NDA, which consists of BJP and Shiv Sena in Maharashtra. A total of 58.21 per cent of votes in Mumbai went towards the ‘Team Modi’, higher from the total 56.11 per cent in Lok Sabha Elections 2014.

This accounts for 3,033,993 votes out of total 5,211,432 votes in 2019 Lok Sabha Polls.  This clearly reveals that the BJP-Shiv Sena alliance was able to retain its confidence among voters, with not only consecutive victory but also a bigger one this time.

Meanwhile in Maharashtra, the BJP-Shiv Sena alliance won 41 of the total 48 Lok Sabha Seats.  BJP fought on 25 seats clinching victory in 23, while Sena fought on 23 seats and won on 18 seats. This is also 1 seat more than 42, which the political-pair won in 2014 Lok Sabha Elections.
