The very name Krishna, assigned to God ,means all attractive. God has to be all attractive. He has many names and all the names have been assigned to Him as per His divine qualities and pastimes. Since He has unlimited qualities and unlimited pastimes, so He has unlimited names.
Krsna, primarily, has sixty four qualities. Two of his most prominent qualities are, NIMISH(blinking of an eye) and ANIMISH(no blinking of the eyes). Lord Krishna is extremely kind to His devotees and He has declared so in the Bhagavad Gita: “ MY DEVOTEE WILL NEVER PERISH”. He is kind to the extent of being possesive. Whenever a devotee accidentally commits a mistake, the Lord becomes NIMISH i.e. closes His eyes and overlooks the mistake. On the other hand, when the devotee offers even a little service, He becomes ANIMISH i.e. notices and magnifies the service with wide open and unblinking eyes.
He is impartial by nature and equal to all. But this special display of His affection for His devotees is like the display of affection of a father who, although has many children who are equally looked after by him, as a duty reciprocates when a child comes running up to him asking for attention or offers some service to please him.
So the devotees of the Lord have no other shelter and fully dependent on Him. They are always trying to attract His attention by their sincere service and please Him and thus are always favoured and showered with choicest blessings. And when it comes to His devotees, He is ready to make or break any rules.
