Dubai: Hani Rashid Al Hamli, secretary general of the Dubai Economic Council (DEC), has said Dubai considered China, the second largest economy in the world, as the capital of the east and that Dubai, in particular, enjoys close economic relations with Beijing in various fields.

Al Hamli said now is the time to deepen those relationships and turn them into partnerships involving a strategy of projects of the public and private sectors contributing to achieving the aspirations of the UAE to be one of the most advanced economies. The statement came after a DEC delegation, led by Al Hamli, held meetings with senior Chinese officials in Beijing in order to build bridges of cooperation for the implementation of a number of future projects.
