Mumbai : Companeroes SC and Bandra Packers scored contrasting wins to advance to the boys’ under-14 finals of the 15th Bandra West Football League 2016, sponsored by Baba Siddique & Zeeshan Siddique and conducted by the BWFA (Bandra West Football Association) and played at the Dr. Norman Lewis Supari Talao, Municipal grounds.
In the semi-finals, Companeroes were made to work hard before pulling off a narrow 2-1 win over Sea View SC. Zubair Karbhari and Varad Parab were bang on target for Companeroes, while Arjun Singh got the lone goal for the losing side.
In contrast, Bandra Packers charged to a thumping 6-0 win against Theresians SC. For packers Joel Barnes netted two goals.
