Mumbai : Celtic 7070 emerged champions as they scored a hard-fought 2-1 win against AK Chimbai in an enthralling Men’s Premier Division finals of the 15th Bandra West Football League 2016, sponsored by Baba Siddique & Zeeshan Siddique and conducted by the BWFA (Bandra West Football Association) and played at the Dr. Norman Lewis Supari Talao, Municipal grounds. The champs Celtic scored both their goals in the first session through Altamesh Sayed and Karan Kapoor while Chimbai pulled one back through Arif Qureshi’s strike in the second half.

In a fast-paced and entertaining clash, both teams went on an all-out attack from the start and there was plenty of action in front of goal at either end. However, it Celtic who managed to draw first blood in the 15th minute when Altamesh Sayed with a measured chip for the edge of the penalty area beat rival goalkeeper Saad Patanwala to trigger celebrations in their camp.

A few minutes before the lemon time Celtic doubled the lead when Karan Kapoor trapped a long pass from Alyque Virjee and advanced into the box before slotting past goalkeeper Patanwala.
