Indore : A youth jumped off the terrace of Bombay Hospital on Thursday night and died. Prima facie it appears to be suicide but the police have registered the case and are investigating the matter.
According to Lasudia police, the incident occurred around 11:00 am. The youth was identified as Pawan Chauhan (22), resident of Goma Ki Phel. Pawan jumped off the tenth floor of the hospital.
Pawan was employed at a sari showroom. While returning home on Thursday night with his friends, he stopped at Bombay Hospital, told them to wait while he ran an errand.
Using an excuse to visit an ailing relative, Pawan made his way up to the tenth floor of the hospital and jumped.
Before jumping he had called his friend and asked him to pay money and release his gold chain. When the perplexed friend asked where he was, Pawan replied that he was about to commit suicide. The family admitted that he had borrowed money and that may have caused him depression. TI RD Kanwa said that prima facie it appears to be suicide but the police have registered the case and are investigating the matter.
