Indore: For spreading awareness among people over increasing pollution, the Road Transport Department is organising a ‘Mini Marathon’ on Sunday. The marathon will start from Meghdoot Garden at 8 am.
According to RTO MP Singh, Mayor Malini Gaud will flag off the marathon. “Aim of the marathon is to spread awareness among people on increasing pollution level in the city. The initiative has been taken on the directions of State Transport Minister Bhupendra Singh,” Singh said.
Transport Commissioner has given the responsibility to all the RTOs in the districts to organise the marathon for the cause. “Along with providing participation certificate to the students, we will also distribute pamphlets and papers to inform about traffic rules and driving skills. We will also promote the free licence scheme for women as well,” the RTO said.
