Indore : Chandan Nagar police claimed to have arrested a group of criminals while planning robbery at builder’s house late on Friday night. The police have launched a manhunt for two other accused as they managed to flee from the spot. They are being questioned for other crimes.
According to the police, acting on a tip-off, Chandan Nagar TI Yogesh Singh Tomar and his team arrested five criminals with two country made pistols, sword and other weapons while planning robbery near Sirpur Lake late on Friday night. During police action, two of their aides Habla and Vishnu managed to flee from the scene.
Arrested accused were identified as Naveen Verma of Banganga, Jitendra Shinde of Scheme Number 71, Imram alias Bachha of Geeta Nagar, Ajay Rathore of Rishi Palace and Sonu Galfade of Veena Nagar.
During interrogation, the accused admitted about their plan for robbery at house of builder Mohsin Bhai Bohra of Noorani Nagar. The police have registered a case against the accused and started questioning from them about two of their aides. Accused Sonu was also involved in a murder case of one Pintu Thakur in Banganga area a few years ago.
