Delegates participate in marathon for spreading awareness

Indore :There is no particular reason for infertility as it varies geographically and the doctors should go for finding the cause before starting the general treatment, experts said.

On the conclusion ceremony of national conference of Indian Society for Assisted Reproduction (ISAR-16), renowned gynaecologist Dr Mangla Kawde said that the reason for infertility is different in different part of the country.

“Every region has different atmosphere, different traditions and genetics due to which the reason for infertility also varies.  Ovarian endometriosis is the main reason for infertility in women living in South whereas tuberculosis is the reason for the problem in Central region. Similarly in North, obesity and changes in lifestyle causes PCOD which leads to infertility.” She also suggested that girls should consult their doctors immediately if having excessive pain during menstrual period or experiencing sudden changes in weight and body.

Organising chairperson Dr Asha Bakshi said that the event was concluded with a marathon of delegates organised to spread awareness among the people. More than 500 delegates participated in the marathon that started from Brilliant Convention Centre. Delegates with best paper, poster presentation, best video presentation and best presentation in embryology were also felicitated during the conclusion ceremony, she added.
