Ratlam: All Maheshwari community members receive first dose of vaccine, 50% receive second dose

Former mayor and President of Maheshwari Samaj Sheilendra Daga said 100% members of the Maheshwari Samaj here have availed first dose and 50% of them have also availed second dose of the vaccination.

Ratlam (Madhya Pradesh): Maheshwari community here has achieved 100% Covid-19 vaccination of its members in the city.

Former mayor and President of Maheshwari Samaj Sheilendra Daga said 100% members of the Maheshwari Samaj here have availed first dose and 50% of them have also availed second dose of the vaccination. He said that this achievement could be possible due to opening of vaccination centre at Maheshwari Bhawan in Kasera Bazar.

A good number of people have been vaccinated at this centre including Maheshwari community. He said office bearers and members of Maheshwari Samaj - Dr BL Tapadia, Narendra Baheti,Dwarkadas Bhansali, Pawan Somani, Madhav Kakani, Sunil Lathi,Ratan Dhoot, Ramesh Daria, Mahesh Bhansali and others - rendered services during vaccination.

Meanwhile, the primary training of - Yuva shakti corona se Mukti abhiyan - was held on Saturday virtually in which Government Arts and Science College principal Dr Sanjay Vate, Pradeep Patidar and Indal Singh both from polytechnic college in Jaora, District Vaccination officer Dr Varsha Kuril participated.

According to programme, teachers of Government college will be trained to further train small groups for Covid appropriate behavior and to clear misconceptions about Covid-19 vaccines. Drive will commence from June 18 , said CHMO Dr Prabhakar Nanaware.

Under the unlocking process, all paan shops have opened with the condition that pan and related material will not be consumed at the shop and only packed material be taken from shop. District Covid-19 incharge minister Jagdish Devda has issued directives to open the paan shops in the district. Corona curfew will continue on Sunday.

Meanwhile, 9 Covid cases were found on Friday evening. In all, 138 Covid cases were found in first eleven days of June. In May, 6,495 active positive cases were found.
