Indore : Moti, the full grown elephant at the Kamla Nehru Prani Sangralaya went amok on Sunday late night and destroyed own shed in the zoo. The officials at the zoo had to use tranquilizers to calm it down in order to avoid any further damages
The scenario continued for at least an hour and finally higher officials at the zoo had to deploy some staff members to take care of it.
Moti damaged the shed and broke the chains tied to its legs. However, later the shed was repaired and Moti was enchained.
Moti was moved out of the shed to carry out repair works in the
damaged portions using JCB and ropes. It was tranquilized before carrying out the repairs on Monday morning.
Sharing the information, Dr Uttam Yadav, In-charge at the Kamla Nehru Prani Sanghralaya informed that during the whole incident, Champa, the female elephant escaped injuries and was safe.
