Indore : A woman duped a number of unemployed people of her colony on the pretext of getting them job and managed to flee with lakhs. Police have registered a case and are investigating further.
According to ASI Rawat of Rajendra Nagar police, following a complaint from Raunak Chaturvedi, Susheela Nomoda, Sanjay Singh Rajput and Ankita Sharma of Shiv City, a case has been registered against Shivani Bhatnagar, a resident of Shivashish Apartment, Shiv City.
The complainants alleged that Shivani charged them lakhs for providing them jobs in the State Government by pretending to be employed with the State Government and sold off her flat in the colony and fled the city.
It appears that Shivani had collected Rs 4 lakh from Raunak, Rs 3.5 lakh from Susheela, Rs 3 lakh from Sanjay Singh and Rs 3.5 lakh from Ankita. She gave the victims forged appointment letters and had also organized their training in a government office in Killa Maidan.
The police said that they were investigating as to how Shivani could arrange training at the government office and were also trying to find whether there were other victims.
