Promises Rs 5.29 cr for drinking water
MORENA: Minister for urban development and minister in-charge for Morena district Maya Singh has said that to ensure that in the coming summer months all the citizens get adequate supply of drinking water, proposals worth Rs 5.29 crore have been sent to the government for sanction.
The minister was addressing the meeting of district planning committee here on Thursday. Among others Mayor Ashok Argal, district Panchayat chairperson Gita Harshana, MLAs Satyapal Singh Sikarwar, Subedar Singh Rajoda, Balbir Singh Dandotia, collector Vinod Sharma, SP Vineet Khanna and district panchayat CEO Aurag Verma were present.
The minister expressed her displeasure over the poor construction quality of boundary wall of Noroobad Nursery, built at a cost of Rs 2.61 crore. She directed the district horticulture officer to take immediate action against the contractor concerned and blacklist him. MLA Dandotia complained that the officers do not invite people’s representatives to inspect the quality of construction works. The minister issued strict instructions that in the future, people’s reps should be invited to inspect all construction works with an outlay of Rs 50 lakh or above. She also directed removal of the CMO of Porsa and said that his charge should be given to the tehsildar Bhupendra Kailasia.
Maya Sing inspected the kitchen of the Deendayal Rasoi Yoajna and the Neki Ki Diwar.
