Indore : An 8-month-old infant girl was found abandoned in the forest between Tillore Bujurd village and Tinchha Fall, on Wednesday.
The girl was spotted by some woodcutters, who had gone to collect woods. They claimed that the girl was there for more than 40 hours and miraculously remained safe from wild animals.
As per information, while wandering in the forests in Khudel police station area, some wood-cutters found the 8-month-old girl wrapped in a shawl and scarf there.
The woodcutters immediately informed about her to Mahensh Dangi, husband of village sarpanch and brother of former MLA Jeetu Jirati, Sanjay Jirati, who rushed her to MY Hospital in 108 Ambulance.
“It was a miracle that the infant was saved from wild animals even after lying in the dense forest for a long time,” Jirati said.
She was admitted to pediatric ICU in a serious condition.
“Khudel police rushed the girl to the hospital. She is underweight and suffering from scarcity of water in her body. She is also having multiple infections due to which she was shifted to PICU,” HoD of Pediatrics Dr Sharad Thora said.
Meanwhile, Khudel police also registered a case against unidentified persons under IPC Section 317 of IPC.
