A youth allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself from a tree in a forest under Simrol police station on Monday. He was being harassed by his cousin brother. Simrol police station incharge RK Nain said deceased has been identified as Jitendra Thakur (35), a resident of Musakhedi. He hanged himself from a tree near Sagarpesa village on Monday evening.  The villagers informed the police. A mobile phone, his wallet and a scooter were recovered from the spot. On the basis of documents and mobile phones, he was identified by the police.

His family members are unaware about of his problems. Nain said that a suicide note was recovered from the spot in which he wrote that he was being harassed by his paternal aunt’s son. He did not mention that how he was harassed by cousin. Two other names are also written in the note. Police said persons whose names are mentioned in the note will be questioned to know the reason behind man’s suicide.
