Indore: Antarrashtriya Hindu Parishad president Praveen Togadia on Tuesday said he will announce a new political party in New Delhi on February 9. He told mediapersons that he will pass the ordinance for construction of Ram temple in Ayodhya in the first meeting if voted to power and will get the work of Ram temple started within a week.

“BJP has betrayed people in name of Ram temple. People have given them power from panchayat to Parliament but it has avoided bringing ordinance or law to set up the temple,” he said. Togadia said Congress will not construct temple and BJP has betrayed people in name of temple.

“Now, we will construct temple with help of people in the country. The party has been registered and the agenda of the party will be – Ayodhya me Ram, Kisano ko daam, Yuwao ko kaam, Vyapariyo ko samman,” he said. He also said his party will declare stone pelting on army as war against nation and will bombard those involved in it.

Togadia, the ex-VHP president, said several leaders including those of BJP have contacted him but it remains to be seen who actually joins his party. Speaking on country’s economic policies, he said current economic policies have led to unemployment in the country.

“Nine people in country has wealth equivalent to 65 crore people in the country. Demonetisation had made 5 crore people unemployed while online pharmacy has created job insecurity for 6 crore people in the country,” he said adding, “Poor are turning poorer and few rich are getting richer.”

Togadia objected to FDI in retail and said that he will not allow Walmart to enter country as it will uproot 12 crore micro and small industries. Condemning use of EVM in polls, he said many countries have rejected it. “I will appeal to people for supporting us by giving one note and one vote. The note will be of Rs 10 or Rs 100 not more than that. We will contest elections on all 540 seats,” Togadia added.
