Swine flu seems to be spreading its tentacles in the city as one more patient succumbed to the disease on Monday while two patients tested positive. Total number of deaths in the city has reached 44 while number of people who contracted swine flu has reached 162 since January this year.
A 30-year-old woman patient of Mandla who war undergoing treatment at Greater Kailash Hospital since March 21 tested positive on March 23, succumbed to the disease on Monday. Condition of patient was critical when she was admitted to hospital.
“We have been taking daily report about suspected patients from private hospitals. With increase in number of patients suffering from viral disorders, we have also been reporting cases of cough and cold,” IDSP incharge Dr Santosh Sisodiya said.
