Indore: Sex racket operating from two spa centres busted

Indore: Crime Branch raided two spa centres in the city and arrested 22 people, including 8 women in Lasudia and Hira Nagar area late on Saturday night.  The Crime Branch also recovered Rs 2.63 lakh.  Six of the arrested women are citizens of Thailand and they came to India on tourist visa. Two students, a transporter and an interior designer were also among 22 arrested. On the instruction of Senior Superintendent of Police Ruchi Vardhan Mishra, a team of crime branch was constituted to hunt the people indulging in flesh trade in the city.

Acting on a tip-off, crime branch team raided a house in Talawali Chanda and arrested 10 persons, including three Thai women for involvement in a sex racket. Additional Superin- tendent of Police (Crime) Amarendra Singh said that the Mira Spa Centre was run in the house and some objectionable activities were going on there. He said that three women from Thailand and Gajendra Singh of Royal Amar Greens, Abhishek Yadav of Balaji Heights in Mahalaxmi Nagar, Sanjay Gandhi of Kailash Park area, Sunny Sunere of Ravidas

Nagar, Nirbhay Jain of Dream City, Narendra Kanungo of Dream City and one of their accomplices were arrested from the house. ASP said that Rs 32,000 in cash and currency of Thailand, Malaysia, UAE, Kuwait, America, Vietnam, Cambodia, Oman and Nepal was recovered from them.  The Thai women came to India on tourist Visa for a year but they didn’t take any permission for employment here. The women were indulging in illegal activities with the help of local agents.

Three Thailand girls nabbed from another spa

ASP Singh said that a tip-off was received about flesh trade being run at another spa centre about an hour after the raid in Lasudia. He said that the team raided Mira Wellness spa centre near Bapat Square under Hira Nagar police station jurisdiction from where five women, including the main accused, a woman operating the racket, and 7 other men who were found in objectionable condition were arrested.

The accused were identified as Samyak, Chiranjivi, Lokesh, Gurvinder Singh, Nilesh Tiwari of Vaibhav Laxmi Nagar, Mohit Kushwah of Sant Ravidas Nagar and Rohit Suryawanshi of Ashish Vihar Colony. The team also recovered Rs 2.31 lakh, 12 mobile phones and objectionable things were recovered from the spot. The woman, who had been operating the flesh trade, told the police that she had been running the racket in the name of spa centre for a long time. She called girls from Thailand for massage after getting a high demand from the customers for foreign girls.

She used to attract the customers by sending offers on WhatsApp. Arrested youths, Samyak is a BBA student, Lokesh is MBA student, Chiranjivi is an interior designer and Gurvinder runs a transport business in the city. Nilesh used to show photos of girls to customers and fix rates. Mohit used to call customers and Rohit is employed as a watchman who used to keep an eye on police. ASP Singh said that both the spa centers were being run by the same woman.
