Indore: Prof Deepak Shrivastava has been appointed as new dean of Faculty of Management at Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya (DAVV).
Raj Bhawan appointed Shrivastava, a faculty member of Institute of Management Studies, as dean for a period of two years.
The appointment on the post was necessitated after Sangeeta Jain’s term of deanship got exhausted in May last year.
After that, the university had forwarded the name of Prof AK Spare. But he retired before the letter of his deanship could be issued.
Later, Shrivastava's name was forwarded on which Raj Bhawan gave its stamp.
With the appointment of Shrivastava, the total number of deans in DAVV has reached 13. Three posts are still vacant. Dean positions are vacant in faculties of Commerce, Ayurveda and Medicine.
