A man was booked by police for allegedly raping a divorced woman in Chandan Nagar area. The accused could not be arrested till Tuesday night. Chandan Nagar police station incharge Rahul Sharma said victim is married to a person Barnagar. She had come to parents’ home in Chandan Nagar after argument with in-laws.
Here, she met accused Raees. After few days, she reached her in-laws’ place in Barnaagar where accused Raees also reached there and blackmailed her. He then took her at his place and allegedly raped her holding her captive. On Monday, the victim reached police station and lodged a complaint against the accused. Police said that many places were raided in search of accused but he could not be arrested till filing the report.
