State home minister Bala Bachchan on Monday said income tax searches show BJP’s frustration specially after losing elections in three states. “I-T raids are an example of vindictive politics by BJP. Its leaders know party will not win election due to which they have started such tactics,” Bachchan said while talking to mediapersons on sidelines of NSUI’s programme.
The home minister said IT raids will not affect health of chief minister Kamal Nath. “BJP is into vindictive politics in states like Tamil Nadu, West Bengal and Madhya Pradesh where there is no BJP government. More than 35 hours have passed after raids but nothing has been cleared by I-T officials,” he said. Bachchan further said I-T has recovered cash from house of Ashwini Sharma who is a BJP activist.
“We didn’t receive any report about raids at Miglani and Kakkad’s place,” he remarked. Responding to another question, Bachchan said there was no face off between the police and CRPF. “Police had gone to places of raids to ensure law and order there. People called police due to trouble they were facing,” he added. The home minister also rubbished the BJP manifesto and said that they don’t have anything to promise new to people as they failed in fulfilling their earlier promises. Replying to another query, Bachchan said Indore will get a winning candidate and the party will announce its name soon.
BJP IS KILLING DEMOCRACY: PATWARI
Sports minister Jitu Patwari targeted BJP for I-T raids and said that BJP is killing democracy. “Intellectuals say Modi government’s behaviour is that of a tyrant. Narendra Modi kept mum over corruption of BJP leaders and allies and never spoke a word against Amit Shah’s son, Yeddyurappa and other scams,” he said. Patwari demanded probe into I-T raids.
