Indore: The trade, industry, tourism, hospitality industry and export organizations have expressed jubilation on the announcement of the first international flight from the city. The initiative will put the city on global map and help in boosting trade, tourism and export of the region.

Following the announcement of Air India to start a flight for Sharjah from next month, the trade, industry, exporters and aviation sector exports are upbeat. They have expressed that though we are late in getting the international flight from the city, but yet it is not too late. The initiative will put the city on global map and avail global access to the people and products of the region.

City comes on global map

The initiative will put the city on the global map. CII was working for the last few years. But now the dream has come true. It will boost the trade and tourism of the region and entire business spectrum of the city will undergo a major change.
Ranjan Mimani, Past Chairman CII MP State Council and Member Aviation Taskforce of CII.

Exporters get global wings
The international flight will add global wings to exporters of the region, which were deprived for a long time. The international flight to Sharjah will help exporters to dispatch their goods directly from the city to Gulf nations.
-Suber Rampurawala, Convener, FIEO, MP-CG Chapter.

Singapore flight also being considered
Once the international flight takes off from here, we will have several new vistas opened. Progress will grow manifold. Also with other airline companies planning flights to Singapore, Indore’s airport will get more exposure in terms of passenger traffic and flight operations.
-Sumit Suri, Member Airport Advisory Committee.

A big gift to business and residents
A lot of effort of CII has gone behind this along with other authorities and associations. CII is extremely happy that the efforts have shown results immediately after the second Aviation Conference. The first international flight from the city will be a big gift to the businesses and residents of the city.
