Indore: Municipal commissioner has asked tehsildars to conduct survey of 38 illegal colonies in the city, which are proposed for regularisation in the first phase. Municipal commissioner Asheesh Singh held talks with tehsildars on the sideline of Time Limit meeting held at collector office on Monday.

While asking them to conduct the survey, he asked them to check whether any colony has been developed on government land. Singh said priority would be given to backward colonies. Administrative sources said survey report would be scrutinised after which claims and objections from residents would be sought. Then, the residents of the illegal colonies would be asked to deposit development charges with IMC.
