Indore: Highest package jacked up by 41 percent to Rs 89.25 lakh PA!

Indore: With the Indian economy growing stronger, Indian Institute of Management Indore (IIM-I) witnessed 100 per cent placements with highest international package offered being Rs 89.25 lakh. “The hike in international package is 41 percent more to what was offered last year,” said media coordinator of IIM-Indore, Ananya Mishra.

Last year the highest package offered to an IIM Indore student was Rs 63.45 lakh. Besides, the highest domestic package also shot up from the last year’s Rs 33.04 lakh to Rs 40.5 lakh, an increase of Rs 7 lakh, the institute also witnessed slight hike in average salary. The median salary for the graduating batch rose significantly to Rs 19.4 LPA. The average CTC for the top 50 offers stood at Rs 30.04 LPA and at Rs 28.47 LPA for the top 100.

As many as 200 recruiters including 57 new recruiters witness the placement which saw consultancy and finance domains dominating the scenario. “As many as 607 students participated in the campus placements and all of them received job offers,” Mishra said. She stated that while the institute witnessed an increase in average salary along with a major hike in international package and in domestic package too in comparison to the last year.

The Finance domain with marquee recruiters like Aditya Birla Capital, Axis Bank, Barclays, Bank of America Continuum, Credit Suisse, CRISIL, Deutsche Bank, DHFL Pramerica, Edelweiss, Fidelity Investments, Goldman Sachs, HDFC, HSBC, ICICI, India Ratings, IndusInd Bank, Indus Valley Partners, JPMorgan Chase & Co, Kotak Mahindra, Philips, Royal Bank of Scotland, State Street Corporation, Syngenta and Yes Bank offering coveted roles to 26 per cent of the batch. Consulting continued to be a much sought after domain with 27 per cent of the batch opting for consulting and strategy roles.

Major recruiters include Avalon Consulting, Bain Capability Centre, Boston Consulting Group, Cognizant Business Consulting, Deloitte USI, Ernst & Young, Everest Group, i3 Consulting, Government of Andhra Pradesh, Infosys Management Consulting, IQVIA, PwC India, PwC US Management Consulting, SKP Consulting, Synergy Consulting, Thoucentric Consulting, UnitedHealth Group and Vector Consulting. McKinsey opened up consulting roles in IIM Indore after a brief hiatus.

IIM Indore witnessed major recruiters like Airtel, Amazon, American Express, GMR Group, Jindal Steel & Power, JSW Group, MakeMyTrip, PayTM, Rebel Foods, Reliance Industries, Rural Electrification Corporation, Suzlon Energy, Tata Communications and Trident Group hiring for their leadership programmes and General Management roles. Capgemini opened up its ELITE program for the first time at IIM Indore.
