Indore: Though BJP-led government approved flyovers over Pipliayahana and Bangali Square to ease traffic on Ring Road a year ago, state PWD minister Sajjan Singh Verma here on Tuesday announced plans to construct two more bridges on same road.
“Flyovers will be constructed over Khajrana and Robot (Malvi Nagar) Squares,” Verma said during a meeting at Residency Kothi on Tuesday. He said traffic load on a stretch between Bombay Hospital and Teen Imli Square has increased and therefore flyovers are needed to ease the load. He also stated that elevated bridge would be constructed between Vijay Nagar and Sayaji Squares.
The minister also stated that small flyovers should be constructed on Navlakha and Bhanwarkua Square. However, he stated that it should be checked whether metro rail is not provisioned there. Verma asked officials to ensure quality in construction and complete projects in time.
