Indore: District Gears Up For APAAR ID Drive, Education Officials Directed To Expedite Process

Indore (Madhya Pradesh): Under a drive the push will be given on the making of Automated Permanent Academic Account Registry (APAAR) Id of students of the district. The 12 digit unique identification id is a digital archive of a student's academic records, like degrees, certificates, and other information. 

It was decided in a joint review meeting of the Education Department and Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan held here at the office of District Panchayat on Wednesday. CEO of District Panchayat Siddharth Jain addresses the meeting. Joint Collector and In-charge District project Coordinator (DPC) Vijay Kumar Mandloi, District Education Officer (DEO) and other officers of the State Education Department were present in the meeting. It was told in the review meeting that APAAR ID of every student has to be made.

This work should be done by running a campaign. Concern was expressed over the very slow progress of making APAAR ID in the district. The Presidents and Secretaries of the Organizations of Non-Government Schools were directed to bring the expected progress in creating APAAR ID of the students in 07 days. Apart from this, the district in-charges and the Block Education Officers (BEOs) and Block Resource Centre Coordinator (BRCC) of the development block were directed to work within the time limit in the departmental schemes. CEO of the District Panchayat Jain also reviewed the distribution of uniforms, cycles and text books, enrollment, Navbharat literacy, recognition of non-government schools and preparations for the examination.

CEO Jain directed that a committee be formed at the district level and surprise inspections be conducted in 10-10 schools and hostels of the development block. During the inspection, educational and physical activities should be reviewed. In Navbharat Literacy, an action plan should be prepared to make 11 villages fully literate in the month of February and 51 villages fully literate by the month of September. Joint Collector and In-charge DPC Mandloi directed all the BRCC and the scheme in-charges of the District Education Center to prepare an action plan on all points and complete all the works within the time limit.
