Indore: The Central Public Works Department (CPWD) held a ‘Business Meet’ with various clients here on Tuesday. DG Prabhakar Singh stated that CPWD stands committed for implementation of Swachhata Mission, making building accessible friendly and creating world class infrastructure especially in field of education and social welfare in line with the policies of Centre.
During the meet, Singh met senior officers of the Central Government Departments to discuss the upcoming projects to be executed by the CPWD. Major projects of CPWD are 300-bed ESIC Hospital, Vaccination Plant and Animal Husbandry at Mhow, Sports Campus for physically-challenged person at Gwalior, EPFO Office Campus at Gwalior.
MoU for kill development
A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was also signed between CPWD and Construction Skill Development Council of India (CSDCI) in the presence of Singh. The MoU is signed to impart training and up gradation of workforce for upcoming projects of the CPWD with a view to Skill Development of workforce.
On this occasion beside to DG CPWD Singh officials of CSDCI were also present. Under ‘Swachhata Mission’ a Green Waste Reprocessor at CGO Complex and Sewage Treatment Plant at Residential Colony for Central Government employees were also inaugurated by DG CPWD Singh.
DG inspects BNP
He inspected New Ink Factory at Bank Note Press Dewas and inaugurated e-Sewa Kendra to providing better services to residents of BNP. Rajesh Bansal, GM, BNP was also present during the inauguration and appreciated the work done by CPWD in developing state of art facility of New Ink Factory for making India self-sufficient in the production of Ink to be used in currency notes and other security financial papers and significant improvement in maintenance of Infrastructure.
Visits IIT Indore
The Director General, CPWD inspected various prestigious works in progress at IIT Indore along with Director IIT Indore. DG, CPWD acknowledged the importance of state of art infrastructure for growth of Research and Academic activity and assured that all the projects are being taken up to meet the futuristic requirements of students and academia.
