Indore: DAVV student’s package up by 72% to Rs 19 Lakh

As Indian economy growing stronger, the Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya (DAVV) witnessed impressive campus placements with highest package offered to a student being Rs 19 lakh per annum.  “The hike in highest package is 72 per cent more to what was offered last year. This is perhaps the highest package offered to any student of universities in the state,” said DAVV placement officer Avnish Vyas.

Vmware Company offered the package to a student of Institute of Engineering and Technology, an entity of DAVV. More than 1100 students of 2019 batch got successfully placed even as the DAVV claimed that campus placements was for the largest graduating batch across Central India.  The University surpassed the previous year’s performance with more than 120 recruiters, which included many first time recruiters, seeking for potential candidates.

They offered several roles across multiple sectors for Management, Engineering and other programmes. Finance, Consulting, Health Care, IT, Pharma and Sales & Marketing remained the most preferred domains. Major recruiters were Accenture, Cognizant, FICO, Infosys, Honda Cars, JK Cement, and Wipro.

This year the companies based out Indore like Tech Racers, World Pay and Yash Technologies also offered good roles to engineering students at package upwards of Rs 6 LPA. Companies like M-Sigma, ZS Associates, Capillary and Deloitte offered package in the range of Rs 7-10 LPA to engineering students.

In Management department, the highest package on offer stood Rs 10 LPA by BYJU’S. Companies like Deloitte, HDFC Bank, TCS, Bajaj Finance, Colgate Palmolive, Amul India, Mahindra Finance, Heidelberg Cement, Prism Cement offered package in the range of Rs 5-10 LPA to management students. Different management departments of the DAVV also had an excellent placement result this year. Institute of Management Studies (IMS) had 85% of this year’s batch successfully placed.

International Institute of professional studies (IIPS) and School of Economics (SOE) also had significant placement results.
Major recruiters, in consulting sector were Deloitte USI, TCS and S&P Global, in FMCG sector were Asian Paints, Godrej, Amul, Colgate Palmolive, Nestle, ITC and Financial institutions like Bajaj Finance, Federal Bank, HDFC Bank, ICICI bank, IndusInd Bank and Mahindra & Mahindra Financial Services were the recruiters.

Also, Apollo Hospitals, Dr Agrawal Eye Hospital, Medanta Hospitals, Shalby Hospitals, Wockhardt Hospitals hired management students of hospital administration course.  Other departments of university like EMRC, School of Economics, School of Pharmacy, School of Data Sciences and Forecasting and School of Commerce have also performed well in this year’s placement session.
