Indore: Madhya Pradesh Congress Committee secretary Rakesh Yadav on Monday lodged a complaint against regional transport officer Jitendra Raghuvanshi with Election Commission for not acting against autorickshaws running with BJP posters. Yadav alleged that the posters were pasted without permission from district election office and RTO has avoided action against autorickshaw operators though a written complaint has been lodged. The Congress secretary also sent a letter to chief minister Kamal Nath in this regard.
In his complaint, Yadav said when he called RTO for lodging complaint, he said he will not act against vehicles. “RTO told me he will not act and I may do whatever I like,” Yadav stated in the press release. When contacted, RTO Jitendra Raghuvanshi rubbished the charges and said he received written complaint of local resident Nilesh Yadav in which action has been taken. We take action against vehicle owners who violate model code of conduct. We acted in all written complaints we received,” Raghuvanshi added.
