Ujjain: Municipal commissioner Pratibha Pal addressed the employees and workers of municipal corporation in a programme held at Grand Hotel on Sunday. She applauded the efforts of municipal team and felicitated the health officers, inspectors and workers by giving them roses on the occasion.
Addressing the gathering, Pratibha Pal held that success demands continuous efforts and it will come only with incessant and determined team efforts. As the coming two to three weeks are very crucial regarding Swachhta Survekshan and members should stay alert as Swachhta Survekshan team can arrive any time and they can visit any place of the city so municipal teams should fulfil their responsibilities with utmost seriousness and care, she said.
Pratibha Pal registered resentment against the people who are not abiding by the swachhta rules and directed the members to take strict action against them. She warned the litterbugs to stop their activities otherwise huge fine will be incurred on them.
Directing the municipal employees, she asserted that those workers who are not participating in swachhta drive are showing their unfaithfulness towards municipal corporation and asked the authorities to suggest the name of these workers so that they can be suspended immediately and new workers be put in their place. She also informed about the final 15-day plan for cleanliness in which 80 cleanliness workers are being deployed separately in each ward from 2 pm to 5 pm to ensure total cleanliness.
