Indore: Collector, SSP, IMC Commissioner visit seven busiest squares

To improve the traffic condition in the city, administrative and police officials visited seven busiest squares in the city on Wednesday. The officials gave directives to improve city traffic.  District collector Lokesh Jatav, Senior Superintendent of Police Ruchi Vardhan Mishra, Indore Municipal Corporation commissioner Asheesh Singh and other officials visited Geeta Bhawan Square, Palasia Square trisection opposite to Palasia police station, Industry House Trisection, LIG Square, Khajrana and Bengali Square to review the traffic management.

Officials gave following directives

Geeta Bhawan Square: Officials directed to make separate left turns at three places and to prohibit entry of vehicles coming from Navratan Bagh.

Palasia Square: Instruction to make separate lanes for left turns was given.

Palasia T (Guitar Chouraha): Directives given to make separate lanes for left turns so that vehicles coming from LIG Square, Anand Bazaar and Palasia Square can be regulated.

Industry House Trisection: Instructions to widen Dhobighat Bridge and to make separate lane for left turn were given.
LIG Square: Instruction to make separate lane for left turns for traffic coming from Industry House, Vijay Nagr, Patnipura and Ring Road were given.

Khajrana Square – Officials directed to make separate lanes for left turn for vehicles coming from Robot Square, Bengali Square, Anand Bazaar and from Bypass Road.

Bengali Square –Separate lanes for left turn for vehicles coming from Khajrana, Palasia, Bypass Road and Piapliyahana to be made.

Moreover, the officials directed to synchronise signals installed at AB Road, Ring Road and to install more red light violation detection cameras, AMPR and speed detection cameras to keep an eye on traffic rule violation.
