Indore: Central Board of Secondary Education(CBSE) released admit cards for regular students attempting board exams of classes X and XII on its official website on Wednesday. The admit cards will be downloaded and checked for errors by schools. Students will be called with their parents for their signature before admit cards are issued.

Most schools are expected to complete distribution of admit cards by week end. “Every school will distribute as per their timing, but we can expect most students to receive them within a week and mostly by end of this week,” Sahodaya group president Mohit Yadav said. Many schools have already downloaded admit cards and plan to start distribution from Thursday. “Parents are required to come and sign for receiving admit cards,” school principal Siddharth Singh said.

He said this mandatory to avoid confusion and ensure transparency. “A little issue in admit card could cause a lot of confusion, problems and even skipping an examination for students, so it is important that students check the admit card,” school principal Manoj Bajpai said. According to Singh and Bajpai, parents and students should keep the following points in mind while collecting admit cards.

Name with correct spelling: Slight difference in name, surname, parents’ name etc will affect results. These results are often required in getting identity cards like passports. So, be careful about spellings and double check.

Other personal information: Check all personal information stated in the card including personal identification marks.

Names of subjects and subject code: Many subjects like Hindi have course A and B, so students must check it. Also, students attempting class XII board examination should be careful about optional subject shown in admit card.
