Indore: The state government has appointed Akash Tripathi as new Commissioner of Indore Division. Orders in this regard were released by the General Administration Department on Tuesday night. Tripathi at present posted as Managing Director of Paschim Kshetra Vidyut Vitran Company, Indore.
He will succeed Raghvendra Singh, who has been posted as Commissioner, Higher Education. Tripathi earned kudos for carrying out several development work in the city as collector. As an MD of the Discom, he also played an important role in installation of smart electric meters at homes and commercial establishments to stop power pilferage and avoid manual reading.
