Twenty two women from across the country including eight from city and one from Bhopal were given Indo-Global SME Chamber awards. This was the third edition of award function. At a function held at Hotel Lemon Tree, selected women entrepreneurs were felicitated.
They were given certificate and trophy by Padma Shri Janak Palta and postal services director Preeti Agrawal. Addressing the function, Palta said women have made progress in every sector. Such functions motivate other women to perform better. Preeti Agrawal also addressed the gathering.
Addressing the function, Dr Bharat Kulkarni, president of the Chamber, said woman have contributed to country’s economic progress immensely. Women hold key positions in large companies and those companies have scaled new heights under their guidance.
He said acknowledging women’s contribution, IGSC award ceremony is held to honour them. The nominations were received from across the country, which were sorted out by the jury members. Finally, 22 women entrepreneurs were selected for awards who are from Mumbai, New Delhi, Pune, Nagpur, Bangaluru and Jaipur.
