Indore : Institute of Management Studies auditorium and computer lab are in dire state. As all requests for their renovation fell on deaf ears, IMS director Prof P N Mishra has shot-off a letter to Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya (DAVV) registrar RD Musalgaonkar seeking his help for renovation work at the lab and auditorium.

His letter reads: “I am sad to write this letter to you. I hope that you will understand my pain and help the institute by taking personal interest into the issue. The condition of IMS auditorium, which saw President of India during a programme, is pathetic. Centralised AC is not working for nearly five year and many chairs and other items are damaged. It needs renovation.

“The computer lab has been virtually closed as due to sparking in electricity boards. Rain water entered the lab and messed up power connections. The lab was closed to avoid occurrence of any untoward incident,” Mishra said.

He said that he previously wrote many letters to the university but all fell on deaf ears. The engineering section official visited the institute two to three times but never undertook renovation works.
