Guna: District reports no corona positive case, first time since outbreak of pandemic last year

District recovery rate is also improving with each passing day and stands at 97.4 per cent with 0.9 per cent fatality.

Guna (Madhya Pradesh): After a long wait, the district reported zero corona positive case on Monday after 1,457 people underwent rapid antigen test (RAT) or Reverse Transcription Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT-PCR) test in the district.

This is probably the first time when no positive case has been reported in the district since the outbreak of Covid pandemic last year.

At present, 88 patients are undergoing treatment in the district. They are either in home isolation or at Covid care centre.

Officials who closely monitor the situation said though no positive case was reported in the district on Monday, it has a long way to go to attain corona-free status with zero active cases as the district still has 88 active cases.

The district has reported 5,116 novel coronavirus cases so far. With 4,984 recoveries, the district reported 44 deaths. District recovery rate is also improving with each passing day and stands at 97.4 per cent with 0.9 per cent fatality.

On Monday with no positive case, 20 people recovered from Covid-19. As for vaccination, 1.8 lakh out of 12 lakh people received at least one dose.
