Govt striving to increase rural, woman entrepreneurs: Kalraj

Indore : Union Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) minister Kalraj Mishra, on Tuesday said that the Central government has been striving to increase the number of rural entrepreneurs, women entrepreneurs and SC/ST entrepreneurs. He said that the MSME Ministry has been working to simplify the process of establishing the Micro, Small and Medium enterprises so that more people can come forward to start their own enterprise.

Addressing a Press Meet at the Indore Press Club, the cabinet minister said greater number of entrepreneurs and more employment will be generated by simplifying the process of establishing an enterprise which in turn will lead to greater development.

Mishra said that his government was working on developing skills. An employment web portal for unemployed youths was also in the process of being launched “We are also developing a web portal to provide a common platform to the skilled unemployed and the companies through they will be recruited directly” he said.

“For skill development of employed youth and entrepreneurs, we are going to establish incubation centres all across the country. At present, we are having 84 incubation centres in our country. We intend to establish 500 more incubation centres along with some centres through Public Private Partnership model” said the Minister.

On the need for local entrepreneurs, the MSME minister said that new industries will be established on the basis of local requirements and on need based scenario. “Shivraj Singh Chauhan has focused on developing agriculture and industries. MP provides 25% share in the total agriculture output of the nation. The state has received a huge investment through previously held investor summits, he said.
