Indore : Mistakes in the question paper of one of the subjects of forest service marred the exams on Monday and delayed it by an hour.
Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission (MPPSC) said that it would consider objections, if filed any, by the candidates after the ongoing exams for forest service are over.
Exam for statistics subject, which is one of the optional subjects of forest service, was scheduled on Monday.
The centres for the exam were in Indore and Bhopal. When candidates received the question paper they were taken aback with scores of goof-ups in it. There were printing mistakes and other errors in the paper.
The candidates informed invigilators who in turn forwarded the complaint to the who’s who of the MPPSC.
With help from subject experts, the mistakes were corrected over phone and then the candidates were told to write the exam. But in the process, the paper got one hour late.
MPPSC secretary Manohar Dubey said that one hour additional time was granted to the candidates to complete the paper. He said that apart from this goof-up the exam was held hassle-free.
The attendance in Monday’s paper was 45 percent. The forest service exam will he held till January 23.
